GERMAN TRAINS CRASH

On Tuesday two German commuter trains crashed head on. Nine people people died instantly and one more died in a hospital later. Experts still don’t know how it happened with all the security systems. German railway systems are known for being some of the safest in the world. These particular trains were equipped with sonar, sensing all the other trains allowed to be on that track and what direction they are heading. If it realized that it was going to get in a crash, it braked automatically. In this collision that system did not kick in for unknown reasons.

It took hours to rescue all 200 survivors. Luckily it was a holiday weekend so not many people were aboard. This did not stop the engineers from dying.

NEW PAROLE LAWS

In 2012 Darril Dennis, who had been on parole for 38 hours, kidnaped and murdered an 18 year old named Abram. In response Arkansas made a new law saying parolees could stand trial again or sign a waver to go back to prison for remaining time. Only 8% percent chose to stand trial.

As a result prisons reached their max capacity and overflow was sent to county jails. They filled up. People were sleeping on the floor in the offices.

Now the State is repealing the law.

RIVER MARKET’S SEQUEL HAS CONSTRUCTION UNDERWAY

Moses Tucker Real Estate wants to replicate their River Market success with the 3.5 acre neighborhood they just purchased. It has lots of “grit” that they say they want to keep.

It’s meant to develop it’s own reputation      and not be under the shadow of it’s model. The construction chief thinks the area will start a rebuilding frenzy in the area surrounding it.

FORGOTTEN NBA TEAM LOSING LAST MEMORIES

The team was the third added to the NBA. The Sheboygan Red Skins were a poor team  team even before they joined. The players were underdeveloped. The stadium was small and cramped. One time a coach was kicked out and he had to sit on the step outside, it was too crowded for him to watch the game.

When the team went to New York to play the Knicks the Knicks’s manager realized he was playing a poor team from nowhere and announced if the Red Skins weren’t out of the league next year he would be. You can guess who stayed around.

Now the only things left of the team are one old player and the stadium which will be demolished next year.
