The Central Arkansas Library System (CALS) former chief who has served for 27 years gave two very large funds to kickstart two programs. The Butler Center Photo Exhibit Fund and the Roberts Children Nutrition Fund. The former is going to start a community garden near the Children’s Library for children to grow stuff and take it home.

Cruz and Kasich agree to stop-Trump plan

Cruz and Kasich have agreed on the stop-Trump plan.The plan is Cruz and Kasich will split the remaining states and only campaign in those states but for twice as long. The hope is that all the people that would have voted for Cruz in a state Kasich campaigned in will vote for Kasich and he could defeat Trump and Vise Versa for states that Cruz campaigns in.
Earthquake in Ecuador

In Ecuador there was a 7.8 rector scale earthquake. It has killed at least 506 people. It has injured 2,500. 24 hours after the quake looting broke out but the arrival of police and soldiers subsided that. More people were in the impact zone of the earthquake than usual because coastal towns were evacuated because of tsunamis.

A couple in little rock have a pet vietnamese pot bellied pig. The state got a complaint about it from a neighbor and enforced the law about two hoved animals having to live at least 300 feet away from another house or business.Their attorneys quit because she said she was having problems with them on their blog. They couldn’t find more attorneys so they dropped the charges. She says that before she moved their she checked if it was ok.
LITTLE ROCK CRIME RATE DOWN

Little Rock’s crime rate per 100 people is at a low in 37 years. Although the aggravated assault rate is up. Little Rock Police Dept. wants 20% percent of the population to jointly follow their Facebook and Twitter. They currently have half a percent.

There was a cease fire between the Armenians and the Azerbaijans. Now both sides are claiming that the other broke it, and they were fired at a lot. The root of this is from a conflict between the christian Armenians and the muslim Azerbaijans. Because of this there are a lot of borderline tensions between the two. Now Russia and the U.S. are encouraging them to actually keep a cease fire. But it doesn’t seem to be heading in that direction. Hopefully this conflct will be resolved soon!
PRIMARIES IN WISCONSIN

Trump has joined Cruz in telling Kasich he should drop out of the presidential race. Trump argues that if he can’t win he shouldn’t be allowed to run. “He just taking my votes,” says Trump. Trump also reannounced that he will run as an independent if he loses the Republican primaries.

Cruz has taken the republican votes in Wisconsin. Trump said “Cruz is worse than a puppet, he is a trojan horse being used by the Republicans to defeat me.”
What’s with weigh stations

Some truckers are suspected to be avoiding weigh stations, because they are bypassing exceptional weights. Arkansas has made a virtual weigh station to help fix this problem. The money came from a grant that the federal motor carriers safety administration gave them. The federal highway administration praised the technology of it saying it has “the potential to fundamentally change the way truck size and weight standards and regulations are enforced in the United states.” I f all goes well they are hoping to install it in 1-1/2 months.
ISIS ATTACK IN ISTANBUL

An ISIS attack in Istanbul killed 5 including three Israelies. This led Turkey to join a U.S.-led coalition against ISIS.
Little Rock Marathon

On Sunday, March 6 the 2016 Little Rock Marathon took place. It was 45 degrees fahrenheit when it started. the winner was Bryan Morseman of New York. He finished in 2 hours 27 minutes and 15 seconds. Morseman is trying to win a marathon in all 50 states. Arkansas was his thirteenth. He started running marathons in addition to his regular job to raise money for treatment for his son Leeim who was born in 2014 with a spine disorder. This was Morseman’s second try in Little Rock to win.
