Hello Vella Karman here, a homeschooled 11 year old. I am in 6th grade. I like to dance ballet, especially point, and I also write my own stories. I can't see what I am doing in ballet but I can feel the beauty of it, and I praise God with it. Maybe later I will post some of my stories, I want people to see my work but I am afraid they will think it's terrible and say I am awful at writing. But I still want your comments even if that's what you have to say, I'll try not to take it personally, I am looking for constrictive criticism so say what you really think.

Today I got up at 6:00, and started school early. I got a bunch done and got to play a bit with Adi. Tomorrow is the last day of school, I finnished ballet last week, Reed is done with scouts, and the pool right behind our is scheduled to open this weekend. Now I just have to get through tomorrow, and summer here I come. Sorry, I got ahead of myself there. Back to thinking about school. (sigh) Did you notice my watermelon pink text?

I got a 100% on my math lesson. YAY!!! (It was lesson 100. Seriously.) I also got a 100% on my spelling test. (It was not test 100. It was 155.) But YAY anyway.

I learned about New Zealand’s involvement in world war l and ll. (Do you know why they use l’s for that and not numbers?) They were against Germany in both. They protested against France doing nuclear testing in the pacific with the rainbow warrior July 10th 1985.

Math was sort of hard. I learned about the law of equivalent fractions. I understand the concept, but they had me do some other stuff I already know about. I’m excited about finishing friday.

I wonder why I have to know about New Zealand’s history? How will it help people in life? Well, anyway I learned about the Treaty of Waitangi. And how sovernty’s translation is a teeny bit different.

School was ok. I already did some stuff some things so I won’t have as much stuff to write about.

I did a word search in vocabulary today. It was hard, I had to use Greek words. Greek!!!

I labeled a map of New Zealand. It was hard and sort of fun. It took a while to finnish.

Science was nutrition today. It was about milk, we learned that homogenizing is breaking apart the fat in milk. The questions weren’t super hard today, science was even sort of fun.

We read three super awful poems, I am really glad that we are so close to finishing the book that we only have 12 poems left. I like poetry and I write poems myself, but these poets are awful at using personification in my opinion. Sometimes if it weren’t for their names I would have no idea what the poem is about.

N’ Djamena is the capital of Chad, (No offense, but I sometimes wonder if anybody taught them to spell.) It means we rested. 1,127,000 people live in N’ Djamena.

I started reading Lamentations today. It sounds like what was going to happen to Israel was super destructive. No offense to Lamentations, but I personally like the books of Ester, and Ruth better.

Friday was passover so I didn’t do school on Friday because we had to get ready. I did extra on Thursday, and more on Saturday.

Science was about bioweapons. The questions were really hard, and one of them was about what we think should be done about gene science so that bioweapons aren’t created.
