Hello Vella Karman here, a homeschooled 11 year old. I am in 6th grade. I like to dance ballet, especially point, and I also write my own stories. I can't see what I am doing in ballet but I can feel the beauty of it, and I praise God with it. Maybe later I will post some of my stories, I want people to see my work but I am afraid they will think it's terrible and say I am awful at writing. But I still want your comments even if that's what you have to say, I'll try not to take it personally, I am looking for constrictive criticism so say what you really think.

Millionares, Billionares, How Many Does It Take to Make Half of the World’s Net Worth

How many rich guys does it take to make up half of the world’s net worth? Eight. It only took eight men’s net worth t match half of the world’s. Talk about the internet, and fashion making money!!! Here they are in order of most to least net worth. Bill Gates, (Founder of Microsoft) Amancio Ortega Gaona, (Founder of Inditex) Berkshire Hathaway, (Chairmen of Warren Buffett) Carlos Slim Helu, (Mexican Telecommunications Magnate) Jeff Bezos (Amazon Founder) Mark Zuckerberg, (Facebook Founder) Lawrence Ellison (Oracle Founder) and Michael Bloomberg, (Bloomberg LLP Founder.)

Homeschool Journal 1/18/17

We read about Jacob getting Esau’s blessing, it is sad that they only have one blessing to give. I didn’t know/remember that Jacob means deceiver. We read about Muhammad’s death, Islam is “all about peace and being nice to everybody,” except for non Muslims, for that last part I read in-between the lines. I read some of Lamentations and I think the Israelites were sad because they disobeyed God, they got punished, and they were prisoners. The five rules for success that I got from Daniel are; don’t defile God, be nice to others, praise God, give the honor to God, and trust in God.

Lava is so cute he will melt you with his cuteness!!! Here is a picture of him. (I seriously want you all to be melted, I would suggest sitting down for this.) He just tried to press buttons on my computer and he logged me out and added in a few good things about himself too, (not really, he actually did a slash and logged me out.)

Homeschool Journal 1/17/17

Isn’t it crazy? Like father like son, Isaac pretended to not be married to his wife too!!! Isaac and Esau both got married at the age of 40, there is something about the number 40 in this family. Think of Moses! We learned about Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar was the king that went mad. The Israelites lived near a river in Babylon. page 110 Ezekiel would have seemed like a crazy man if I didn’t know that he was following God. Daniel was about 12 when he got captured and put in the king’s school. Did you know that people used to think Ester was a folk tale? That is crazy!!!

We learned about Muhammad, he started Islam. Sadly he believed satan’s lies.

Homeschool Journal 1/10/17

Today Mom went on a walk with her friend Miss Sue, and I watched Adi, it was pretty fun. We made things with my clay. I made a box that looks like a little cupcake. It is cute, I am going to give it to my cousin, Sabra Joy, she is coming Friday.

I made a journal as Josiah, I even made it look old. I wrote about finding the Bible in the temple, and that I want to make free schools.

It snowed today!!! Only a few inches but that is better than none! We had to do a bit of together school and then I got to play in the snow, we made slushies, and jumped on the trampoline with snow on it, I started to build a snowman but I didn’t finish it.

Who Broke ISIS?

The US says ISIS is going broke. Counter-terrorism has been bombing their oil places and other things such as their oil tankers and such. Trying to make them go broke so they can’t pay the military. They believe they are succeeding, as ISIS has cut down the military’s pay by half. So maybe ISIS is to be defeated a bit easier in the near future.

Weekend Homeschool Journal

Sadly I had to do school this weekend. I made a concept map about my cat toy, Rolly the self rolling ball of string, it took forever to make. Than I had to write out the steps I would have to take to actually make it, it would have a motion sensors that would make the yarn be rolled out and then be rolled back up again, that would really get the cats attention!!! I also wrote an essay the name of it is Why I Should Take Notes And Obey My Dear Ol’ Ma it is a very long name from my mom’s words, I think she will find my essay very amusing.

Homeschool Journal, Friday The Thirteenth, Dun Dun Dun

Our cousins came to see us so we didn’t start school until after lunch. I had a ton of fun with my cousin, Sabra Joy. I wish they could of stayed longer!!! It only seemed like a half-hour even though it was actually two-and-a-half hours. This was the best Friday The Thirteenth Ever!!!

We read about Jacob and Esau in Bible, I wonder if Esau was really about to starve or if he was just an exaggerating.

We read more about the Byzantine empire. Justinian wanted to have a Christian empire, I didn’t know he was Christian. Did you? Monks seem to be really good artists and are very well educated, but I don’t think being a monk, a nun, or amish brings you closer to God at all, I think reading the Bible and praying brings you closer to Him.

We read poem about Pocahontas, and pilgrims. There are poems about almost everything!!! It was sort of funny that we read a poem about Pocahontas because I just got a book about her.

We read how king Arthur got the round table, it was a wedding gift from his father-in-law. I like our book about king Arthur, it is interesting but a little bit confusing. I wish we were done with school.

Journal 1/12/17

We read about finding a wife for Isaac, it is a story I have read many times before but it always strikes me with something different each time. This time, I wondered if the servant believed in God before that happened?

Journal 1/11/17

I didn’t get much school done today because Mom is on jury duty, she didn’t get picked but she was still gone until about lunch and we didn’t do any extra yesterday. Dad worked from home because we didn’t know if she would get picked and he had a lot of meetings so I didn’t get anything but yesterdays math lesson done until after lunch. I went with Dad to pick her up, it was interesting because she told us a bit about the case because you are allowed to if you weren’t picked for the case, (I am guessing this is the rule because if you are allowed to and you are on the case the people you are telling it to would probably voice their own opinions, which is fine if you aren’t on the case.) and for school later I had to pretend to be a lawyer getting ready for a case against Israel and Judah, it was pretty cool how that worked out but sort of freaky too.
