Hello Vella Karman here, a homeschooled 11 year old. I am in 6th grade. I like to dance ballet, especially point, and I also write my own stories. I can't see what I am doing in ballet but I can feel the beauty of it, and I praise God with it. Maybe later I will post some of my stories, I want people to see my work but I am afraid they will think it's terrible and say I am awful at writing. But I still want your comments even if that's what you have to say, I'll try not to take it personally, I am looking for constrictive criticism so say what you really think.

Today we went down to the gardens, our new plot is double the size of our old one and we have our old one too!!! It also has wild strawberries and I think raspberries too!!! I want to grow carrots and green beans and maybe some onions, we are going to grow flowers too!!!

In Bible we learned more about God being our shepherd, He is our shepherd because He was and is willing to die for us and He protects us and loves us very much. I like being His shepherd because He is always there for us and He always listens to us no matter how much we complain. He loves us more than we can imagine and He takes care of us.

The disciple I would most want to be like is John because he got to prepare the world for Jesus. Today I had a lot of school to do. We got another garden plot and I am planning on selling homegrown vegetables to help me go to a two week christian ballet summer intensive. The total including taxes is about 2,000 so I better get money making. There is a sequel to my favorite book, The Candymakers. I can’t wait to read it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are thinking about unschooling me next year. It wouldn’t be fully unschooling, I would still do math, science, history, and so on.

Russia Wants Trump?

Did Russia interfere with the election for Trumps favor? Maybe, maybe not. Researchers are trying to find out. Some people say that democrats are just saying that because they are mad that Trump won. But we will find out the truth when the research is done.

I had a lot of school to do today. I did math and got an A+. It was ok. I was supposed to do an experiment but I haven’t done it yet. I don’t remember much because it is now next week.

Today we read on our own again. I read about sumuari, it was sort of cool. I also read more about the crusaids, the Muslims and the jews were awful horrible about them. Science was about what the world is made of, did you know that vinegar is a compound of gases. It is really carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen, and that is the same exact things as acetone. I learned about lasers in science too.

I can’t believe I’ll be twelve in four days!!! You know new years resolutions? Well last year I made a birthday resolution to understand life by the time I’m twelve, I am nowhere close and Mom said she’d be lucky if she did that by the time she was 40, and Reed said you find out enough to know that there is a lot more to it than you thought. I don’t know everything but I do know the purpose of life, mans purpose, our Creator, and a lot more. As I ponder life, for each question answered ten million more bubble up from under the surface of my thoughts, they will bubble up forevermore. But I think that whatever the answer to those questions are, life is a bountiful gift from God, and we should use it to serve Him forevermore.

We went to pickup stuff at the store and the library, it was fun. It is only 4:14 and I should be done by 5 o’clock, yay! Today we read our stuff by ourselves. I read about Samurai in history. They were like knights in a lot of ways. I read ahead in Bible and read about crossing the Jordan and the memorial stones. We read crazy not understandable poems.

They had their codes of chivalry, their lords their land and other such things. They knew how to paint, dance,garden, and write poetry. It must of taken forever to put on armor. There were knights who set up hospitals and they had a white cross with red around for their coat of arms. We learned about the holy crusades.

We started chemistry in science today. Chemistry is the study of substances. They mix them ,heat them, cool them, discover them, and other such things.

Today mom was sick again so dad stayed home until 1 o’clock. She went to the chiropracter in the morning and she is better now but still sick, she has been sick all week and most of 2015-16. We are not sure what is wrong with her and if she will ever get better. Well on that happy note let’s talk about school. I had a writing assignment and being an author I have written about two and a half pages when it was only suppossed to be about a half. Oh the problems of not having writers block and spending an hour on a supossedly 15 min class. Oh well, I will put it to good use, perhaps I will post it on the blog though it would take forever to type. I believe sadly I would have probably believed that Jesus was the anti-christ if I had been alive when he came, good thing I was born when I was!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Road Rage, No Rage

While there has been construction on broadway bridge the traffic has not been as bad as people were expecting. There have been no road rage cases directly connected to the construction. The people having to reroute have been patient and very helpful. The traffic has not been majorly backed up, and the construction is ahead so this construction job may be finished without any problems caused.

In history we learned about knights. We learned about the complicated process of becoming a knight. We learned about the black death as well. It can kill 1/3 of a population, isn’t that too bad to even describe!!!!!!!!!!! It was awful and all because of fleas, speaking of fleas we didn’t give lava his flea bath yesterday because we got dog stuff instead of cat stuff. Cats don’t really get baths they get sprayed. Mom did it to lava today, now he is mad at us.

We read a pretty good poem about chicks. We learned about space in science. We are finishing up physics in science. I like how Jesus rebuked the winds and the waves when he calmed the storm in Mark 8:23-27.
