In History I learned about the Minoans on Crete who became Greece. They were called after a supposedly evil king they had at first. They had a sport called bull jumping and they put gold on the bull horns. In the sport you had to grab the horns, jump onto the bull’s back and do acrobatic stunts. Vella was sick today and skipped school. In my experiment I had to put pepper in water and see what would happen when I put a drop of soapy water on the side of the cup. It instantaneously pushed all the pepper to the opposite cup and made them start to sink. In The Children’s Bible Field Guide I had to make a good news bad news story about a Genesis 25-50 story and put it my Journal. I am doing Jacob and Esau in second person to Jacob.

Bad News: You were born

Good News: You have a brother

Bad News: You are destined to fight all your life with him.

Good News: You trade food for his birthright

Bad News: You have to trick your father for it

Good News: You get it

Bad News: Your brother wants to kill you

Good News: Your mother tells you and you run away.

In both of our History books we read today we learned about the second rise of Babylon and King Nebuchadnezzar. We also learned about The Hanging Gardens of Babylon he built. We read four poems about spring, Easter and rain. In Science we learned about the fossil record of dinosaurs some displays in museums showing the evolution of dinosaurs but they did not show that they had not actually found the fossils they say evolved into dinosaurs. We started school late today. In The Children’s Bible Field Guide we had to research Ancient Egypt and say what we found most interesting and I think that their farming, farming seasons and the Nile flooding every year is interesting. In all of our books they say the Nile flooded every year but in all the possibly 20 books I have read that say that they never say why it floods every year at the same time. Mom thinks it is because of rain but it steadily rises until it overflows.

In History we learned about the second rise of the Assyrians and Ashurbanipal. Ashurbanipal built the first library. We read five poems about wind and other things. In Science we learned about the fossil record of pterosaurs. The largest they found was bigger than a F-4E Phantom II fighter jet.

In Bible we started 1 Corinthians. In The Children’s Bible Field Guide we studied the last half of Genesis. In History we learned about the Phoenicians and Carthage. We read five poems about months and Valentines Day. In Science we learned about the fossil record of pinnipeds. Pinnipeds are things like seals and sea lions. Seals can dive 5,000 feet and sea lions 800.

Muslim men can have four wives because Jacob did.

We learned about how pharaohs lead their armies into battle even though we learned that they didn’t in other places. We also learned about Egyptian gods. They almost all have animal heads. In the Golden Age of Egypt they made Amun the king of the gods instead of Ra. We also learned about the Canaanites and the Hebrews although I already knew all we learned about them. They had a picture of a cedar tree that does not look like a cedar tree. We read three poems about fairies. In Science we learned about different computer mice, a bunny that tells you e-mails and texts and a new type of E-book that has more memory and a new type of screen. The screen uses electric currents to push objects inside capsules to make different shades of gray as well as black and white. One of the mice was wireless and was charged by it’s mousepad. Another raised dots on itself to do Braille so blind people can read on computers.

LONE ISIS MEMBER ATTACKS IN MINNESOTA

Last Saturday night at a mall in St. Cloud Minnesota an ISIS “soldier” stabbed nine people with a kitchen knife. He was shot and killed by an off duty police officer who was shopping at the mall at the time. No one was killed except the attacker in the incident. It was in coordination with two other attacks in NY and NJ.

In History of the World we read about Moses they messed some stuff up. For example they said that after he killed the Egyptian he went strait to Pharaoh and told him to let his people go instead of saying he fled because of his death warrant. Moses’s story was during the Golden Age of Egypt. We got to read out our second portion of the year of The Kingdom Strikes Back. It was the entire Old Testament encapsulated. We learned about the Hebrews whole history from a non biblical standpoint today in one of our History books. We read five poems randomly about things and the first was by Shakespeare and it seemed uncharacteristic for him. We had to put in our Journal how we are similar to Abraham and since Mom won’t let me do breathing I did feelings. In our experiment we cut and folded pieces of paper with pictures of water molecules on it so it looks like water but 167 million times bigger and on a paper background.

In History we learned more about New Egypt. It is considered the Golden Age of Egypt. We read three poems about random things like time being a gypsy man. In Science we learned about the fossil record of fish. The supporters of the fossil record of fish for evolution said it is “shrouded in mystery” on how it supports evolution.

Abram means “Father” and Abraham means “Honored Father”. That is why God changed Abrams name. I wonder why people named him Abram in the first place. We read five poems about night and sleep. The last was Wynken Blynken and Nod. We started a new read-aloud called God King. It is in the times of King Hezekiah. In Science we learned about the fossil record of invertebrates, including coral. We also learned about the fossil layers.
