BRAZIL NATIONAL MUSEUM MOSTLY CONSUMED IN FIRE

A fire at Brazil’s National Museum in Rio de Jenero destroyed up to 90% of the main wing’s contents, including Luzia, the oldest skull found in the Western Hemisphere. A couple hundred protesters, when government officials refused to let them in, tried to break down the metal gates at the entrance. The building has been a fire hazard for a while, they had just gotten funds to update the fire system when the fire occured.

A four-story building fell down in Ahmadabad, India, on Sunday. Of the unknown number of people trapped, three have been rescued. There are no known deaths.

A new US federal law allows the government to veto any property purchase by an alien near a “sensitive area” such as a military base or technology developer. The law was made because of concern over China stealing and buying US made tech.
SHOOTING IN JACKSONVILLE KILLS 2 PLUS SHOOTER

A shooting at the NFL Madden 2019 gaming tournament in Jacksonville, Florida, killed two (plus the killer) and injured nine. The shooter was identified as David Katz, who was the 2017 winner and had been eliminated this year. The second shooting recently, it was blamed by city government officials on youth gangs.

After a bridge collapsed on an Italian highway on Tuesday, August 14, causing vehicles to fall 150 feet, killing at least 39, top Italian government officials demand the heads of the companies that were responsible for upkeep of the bridge to resign. These same heads of companies refuse to reveal how many people are still missing, quite likely under tons of rubble.
EX-CIA CHIEF HAS SECURITY CLEARANCE REMOVED

Former CIA chief John Brennan had his security clearance revoked by POTUS Donald Trump. The president says Brennan has exhibited “erratic” behavior. Brennan is one of many currently under or having finished scrutinization. A debate is active as the validity of the coincidentiality of all of these people having criticized Trump.
PLANT SUPPLYING ROCKET MOTORS TO NATIONAL DEFENSE SYSTEM TO EXPAND IN AR

Aerojet Rocketdyne, a company that makes rocket motors, CEO Eileen Drake announced plans to expand their in-state plant from approximately 800 employees to 940 in the next three years, at the state capitol with Governor Asa Hutchinson. Aerojet Rocketdyne manufactures rocket motors for the national defense system and private space exploration ventures but the plant, moved to Arkansas 40 years ago from California, is one that only go to the government.

We went to Speech and Debate Camp Monday-Wednesday and I did not do any other school those days. We got 24 hours learn time. Thursday and Friday I did days 1 and 2 of Week 2. I learned about Christopher Columbus and human leukocyte antigens in history.
