BRAZIL NATIONAL MUSEUM MOSTLY CONSUMED IN FIRE

A fire at Brazil’s National Museum in Rio de Jenero destroyed up to 90% of the main wing’s contents, including Luzia, the oldest skull found in the Western Hemisphere. A couple hundred protesters, when government officials refused to let them in, tried to break down the metal gates at the entrance. The building has been a fire hazard for a while, they had just gotten funds to update the fire system when the fire occured.
