Yesterday we got very little school done and today people are still feeling poorly so we are still doing Monday’s work but I am working a little bit ahead and Mom forgot we were doing that so we did what was going to be yesterday’s but is now tomorrow’s and we are doing some of it today’s History and Bible. I read less than a chapter of Mark Twain A Reader today.

Today all of us are sick or have a weird injury except Dad so we are only doing what was left of yesterday’s school. Vella has a sore throat, Adi feels weird, Mom has a really bad crick in her neck so she can’t move it and am still sick from last night at Boy Scouts. We already did all of our together stuff (when I say together stuff I mean subjects like Bible, History and Poems that Mom reads aloud and all of us need to do together and when I say alone stuff I mean all the rest of the stuff which is kind of like what other people call homework) yesterday we didn’t have any today. I also did Algebra 1 yesterday. Today I only did Current Events, Bible Memory, Bible Reading, Spanish and some Reading and had to take a lot of breaks because I felt sick. Today I finished The Warden and the Wolf King and continued Mark Twain A Reader which is a collection of Mark Twain’s shorter works and excerpts from his longer and less popular works.
TRUMP TO END PROGRAM FOR ILLEGAL REFUGEES
by Reed Karman •
President of the United States Donald Trump says he aims to end former president Barrack Obama’s program that protects young illegal refugees from deportation. Trump and other Republicans claim the program was an abuse of the executive office’s power. Trump gave Congress six months to pass any bills regarding the subject before he brings the issue up again. Some Democrats have called these actions “cruel”.

In the real Bible we read about Palm Sunday, Jesus being mad at the moneylenders and livestock sellers at the temple and Jesus cursing the fig tree. In But Don’t All Religions Lead to God? we learned about different religions beliefs about death. In history we learned about how Japan denied any ships to leave or come to it. There was a time during the beginning of that that they allowed travel to Korea. In poems we started reading some by Samuel Coleridge. The one we read was about a river I think. We did not get very much alone stuff done today because we went to the dentist in the morning, the orthodontist in the afternoon and Boy Scouts in the evening. Dad was surprised we got any done. I got sick in the afternoon and way worse at scouts because this month’s Scout Skill theme was personal fitness and we did a troop mile run. I finished Algebra 1 about two variable inequalities, Korean and started my Module 2 summary in science. I did not do the rest and have to do that tomorrow. Over the weekend I finished The Emperor’s Code, The Monster in the Hollows, The Frozen Menace, Darkness of Dragons and started Storm Warning and started The Warden and the Wolf King. The Emperor’s Code is Book 8 in The 39 Clues. The Monster in the Hollows is the third book in Wingfeather Saga. The Frozen Menace is the eleventh and last book in the Dragonbreath series. Darkness of Dragons is tenth and last written book in the Wings of Fire series. Storm Warning is Book 9 of The 39 Clues. The Warden and the Wolf King is the fourth and last book of The Wingfeather Saga.

Yesterday we didn’t finish school. Today we are sick. I have a sore throat and had a fever and might still have one. I did some math but that was pretty much it. Math was very hard.

Today we had dentist appointments almost all morning and orthodontist appointments in the afternoon. It was pretty hectic. I didn’t get much school done at all, but tomorrow I am doing Fridays work so I can easily just do it, I hope. Math will present a bit of a problem, two lessons in one day? That’s just torture! But so would having to do it on a weekend, and who knows if it would get done otherwise? Other than God of course.
We read about Palm Sunday and Jesus and the fig tree. Jesus cursed the fig tree. Cursing is wrong, right. Reed said that maybe He was using it as a lesson, but did He have to curse it? I think it must have been Him admonishing the tree.

Today we went on a field trip. We went to a church with a really cool playground with tubes and everything where we played with some little kids. Our moms talked while we played. It was pretty fun. I didn’t need to do spanish or science today. I didn’t finish all the work I had to do either.
Math was okish. I had to listen to him explain how to divide. It was not very good because I don’t have all of my multiplacation table memorized so I can’t do short division as easily.

On Sunday, the third of September many people in Huston went back to their homes. A majority of those people are sorting through what to throw away, and what to put out to dry. Officers are going to continue doing door to door searches until they have covered everything that they need to. Churches met, some in their parking lots. They are opening businesses and playing ball games. They are trying to make everything go on as normal as possible while they are picking up the pieces. Several fires happened at a chemical site that got waterlogged and the authorities are warning people to be careful as they are cleaning their houses and to try not to have exposed skin. They are trying to lower the water in overflowing dams. Life is continuing on in Huston.

In The BBC Manual we learned about meditation. In the real Bible we read about Bartimaus, the disciples rebuking the children coming to Jesus and the disciples arguing who was first among them. In both our history books we read about The Thirty Years’ War which lasted 41 years. It was really a lot of small chain reaction conflicts that came from a rebellion in Germany throwing two regents out the window. Most of today so far (it is 11 o’clock am) Mom and the girls went to meet Mom’s friend at a park in a church so I have been working here without any distractions. It was lucky I did not need any extra instruction from Mom in Algebra 1. Algebra 1 was about inside and outside compound inequalities. I finished the review of Module 2 in Science and it was easy. When we made the Friday schedule we made it for a Friday’s work so it was weird today to be taking notes on my Current Events instead of typing them. Also I would normally be done with my LA assignment but I was not because it was only the second day I’ve had it. Since Mom and the girls are still gone we have not done The Ghost of Tokaido Inn. We do not have poems today. Yesterday I finished North! Or Be Eaten and started The Emperor’s Code. I have not read any books outside of school today yet. After this I will have free time because I do not have my afternoon chores yet because it is not yet the afternoon.

Yesterday we started a new read aloud and it is sort of good but mostly I don’t think I will like it because the title has ghost in it. It is really scary and I totally will wish we aren’t reading this book soon. It was creepy.
Math was horrible and took forever. I got sent to my room until I could calm down. I was crying. Just let me get it wrong for once. I wish I could go back and not make all the typos ect, and not be so upset by the ones that I can’t get and then it is an obvious thing that I just forgot.
In English I am learning about character sketches. It is supposed to really develop your characters. It will really add depth to my writing if I can get the hang of it. But that’s only if I can get the hang of it. And if I practice it a lot. Well, this probably isn’t helping my writing. There are two many short sentences. I must stop having short sentences. Maybe if I use more commas? Or if I look through and see which things I really need to say. Ok, I am going to stop using as short sentences. If I can help it.
