We read poems about birds today. We learned more about the different states of matter. We went to the gardens and put cardboard around our plot to keep to weeds from growing. I made a pulley system to open my door, turn on my light, and turn off my light from my bed depending on which one it is set up for at the moment. Dad came home early because Mom went to the chiropractor at 3:30 p.m.

Today we read on our own again. I read about sumuari, it was sort of cool. I also read more about the crusaids, the Muslims and the jews were awful horrible about them. Science was about what the world is made of, did you know that vinegar is a compound of gases. It is really carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen, and that is the same exact things as acetone. I learned about lasers in science too.

Today I finished school early again. It is about 10:30. I brought a bunch of good books for my friend to read and we are going to have sooooo much fun talking about them. I miss my parents but I am having a ton of fun too!!! Adi is being ok and school has been fine. I am reading a book about George Washington Carver for school and it is really interesting. Did you know he was pretty much mute when he was a kid?

We finished pretty early today too, and I am doing some of next weeks stuff because we are doing extra together stuff this week and extra alone stuff next week at Camp K and Camp S. I am doing this because I want to be free next week because this year I have a friend where we are staying!!! Only Three day left before we leave for camp K, I can’t wait but I will miss Mom and Dad too.
We read a poem about Paul Revere today. In Bible we read about Joseph revealing himself, and then Israel and Joseph’s brother came to Egypt.
Did you know that the vikings played chess? They did, it is supposed to be a civilized game. But they did, we saw a picture of one of their chess pieces. Some vikings lived in now-a-day Russia, Greenland, and they lived in America before the indians attached them. Leaf the lucky found North America way before Columbus even tried.
In science we learned about cool buildings in science. One was shaped like a wave, another looked like it was made of water, and one other one had levels that would spin around with the wind!!! Isn’t that crazy!!! We also learned about Pneumatics. The questions were okay.

I didn’t get much school done today because Mom is on jury duty, she didn’t get picked but she was still gone until about lunch and we didn’t do any extra yesterday. Dad worked from home because we didn’t know if she would get picked and he had a lot of meetings so I didn’t get anything but yesterdays math lesson done until after lunch. I went with Dad to pick her up, it was interesting because she told us a bit about the case because you are allowed to if you weren’t picked for the case, (I am guessing this is the rule because if you are allowed to and you are on the case the people you are telling it to would probably voice their own opinions, which is fine if you aren’t on the case.) and for school later I had to pretend to be a lawyer getting ready for a case against Israel and Judah, it was pretty cool how that worked out but sort of freaky too.
Obama’s Goodbye

Obama did his final speech as president at McCormic Place, Chicago. Obama covered things from his dream of a post-racial US, to the trials of being president, to not booing Trump, to believing in America. And finished it with a call to arms, remorse for unfinished projects, and a good cry. Goodbye Obama, hello Trump, may you both be remembered for your good deeds.

We are learning about David and Solomon. David was a good, God fearing king, but he still made mistakes. But he was quick to admit his sin and God forgave him. Under David they had 10 times as much land as they had under the Judges. Solomon was wise, but he didn’t use his wisdom sometimes.
I like Octarain/Agustus better than his adopted father Caesar. He wasn’t power hungry like him, and he was willing to step down.
We learned about microbes in science today, we are mainly learning about Protists. Did you know that viruses are strands of DNA or RNA? And scientists debate whether they are alive or not because they don’t reproduce by themselfs and other such things.

We baby sat today, and it was soooooooooooooo long. At least when your trying to do school and the kid is crying and won’t stop unless he is eating, so he can’t deal with anything not being perfect unless he is eating all the time. I still haven’t finished last weeks school so it’s a good thing we’re having a quarter break next week, although it might destroy the point if I’m doing school the whole week. But at least then I won’t be behind. Mom and Dad say that we’re so smart we freak out and think it’s too hard if we have to put any effort into school. He said he should really bump us both up a grade so that we will stop getting A’s and B’s all the time, and so that we know how to do hard work, but I already struggle with some things, and I thought it was good to get A’s and B’s, so I don’t know what to think. Why can’t life be easy to understand?

Today I got to read a bit about Abraham from the Bible and then I wrote a interview with questions that I would ask him, and answered them the way that I thought he would. It was hard, I had quite a time trying to figure out how I thought he would answer some of them. Including; Was it hard tying Isaac up?, Did you ever doubt God’s plan?, and Did you have a religion before you left Ur? So, I/m going to let you ponder over that and deside what you think he would say for yourselfs, because my answers aren’t very good, though my questions are, if I do say so myself. Today we went on a field trip and mom surprised us by picking up dad and we had a picnic, it was awesome and we also went to the library and the store. It was really fun, I really enjoyed lunch with dad, it was the best surprise ever because dad left early for a men’s Bible study and we didn’t see him at all this morning.
Science was crazy as always sense we started this section on evolution. We were learning about this school district that wouldn’t let a teacher teach both sides of evolution or even extra about it because they were worried that if they knew too much about it they would see how ridiculous it is. They even fired the teacher. What is the world coming to???
