We read our book about the brain today. It was all about neurons, how every decision and action you make is a different path electrical can go through your entire body. The path is called a synopsis.

Dendrites receive messages from other neuron’s axons. Axons give messages to other neurons dendrites. Your entire Nervous System is neurons.

After the chiropractor today we went to the fabric store and then we used our “buy 6 get 6 free” at DD. I ate two donuts  and got sick from the sugar.

We read a poem about a girl who disguised herself as a boy and went to school ( in China) who fell in love but he did not know she was a girl so did not fall in love. He killed himself, she jumped into his grave and they turned into stones who turned into rainbows.

This morning I didn’t get to do my morning routine because I played before school.

We read John 5. It was about Jesus choosing His disciples. In our poem book, which has been weird so far, we read an OK poem about the sun.

China is the largest country by population and third largest by size. I thought it was smaller by size. I thought it was fifth. China has such a big population there is almost no wildlife. The Yellow River is the siltiest river in the world. The Yangtze River was nicknamed “China’s Sorrow” because of it’s silt. Beijing has 25 in. rainfall.

Your stomach only releases a few spoonfuls at a time to your intestines.

We did a gross experiment where we chewed a cracker for five minutes and swallowed it. I half swallowed  it before five minutes and coughed it back up halfway down. Eventually Mom made me laugh and I spit it out. None of us actually did it.

Week 1 Current Event

POPE GIVES FORWARD OPINION OF MODERN CAPITALISM

In his speech in Ecuador on July 11 Pope Francis accuses world leaders of “cowardice” for not defending the world from modern capitalism. He also demands from the public to “rise up against modern colonialism.” Also (a turn of subject) he apologises to the Native Americans “for many grave sins by the Catholic Church” done to them “in the name of God.” Which was taken well. Many people were shocked by his strong language against greed which, according to him “the devil’s dung.” But a productive speech overall.

Today I did some extra work because friends are coming over tomarrow and we wont get a whole day of school done. Math was fun, and I did good on my spelling test. That’s all I got done because I didn’t have that much time, plus I didn’t have to do extra school.

Today was the second day of school, and I of course had spelling first again today, and I only missed 1 today giving me a A/96 percent and my mom made me find out the persentage in my head with a lot of help from her. Then I did my binder work, today I had to read through a couple of sentences, and rewrote a different couple of sentences using more descriptive adjectives. Afterwards we did history and read more about the 10/40 window and about “Why committed Christians should focus on the 10/40 window.” And so on and so on, a whole chapter about it! Then we where suppost to read bible but we had already read it with our dad/prinsible, witch was fun!!! After that I did math, and worked more on the ten key number system, and you’ll never geuse what I found out, if I click on it I can change my icon to a bunch of different stuff, and it’s realy cool + I figerd it out all by my self. Later I had a lot of history B the stuff I do by myself and I had to read more about China and communisim the write three things I learned about communism. And I also did more research about the thing I’m writing about. After that I think I did binder work and didn’t get much done. Then we had lunch, and nothing unusual happened exept for I had cake for dessert. Afterwards we did science and learned about all the systems like the resputory, and what they do for your body, and the 3 questions we had about it were pretty easy and fun, I thought question 6 was cool and realy made you think.

Homeschool Journal 7/10/15

Today was the first day of school. The first thing I did today at school was have my daily spelling test, it was pritty easy and I only missed 2 out of 25 words giving me an A /92 %. Now I might sound like a realy smart kid now that I told you what percentage I got in spelling, but the reason is because I get to use this cool thing-a-ma-jigger that tells you your score. Now this might seem weird to you but today is a Friday, now you might ask “What’s so weird about today being a Friday?” Good question!!! Now if you where paying much attention to what I said earlier you would of noticed that the first thing I said was “Today was the first day of school.” You realize now? After spelling I went over my binder work for the next couple of days with my Mom/teacher, now you might be saying “What’s this I see?” Well the reason of all this crazyness is, well… I’m home schooled. Now you are in the mind of a home schooled ten year old girl struggleing through life and being…. different. Now back to what I was saying, after going over my binder work we did history A and my mom read about the 100 gateway cities. Then she read some of John in the bible. After that I read aloud 6 times Psalm 91.Then I had math and worked on learning the ten key number system. after wards I did my binder work, and read some of Genesis. Next I wrote down tree facts I had learned about china that day, because earlier we read about china. Later I did some research about something that I’m going to write about in two man times my school newspaper which I run all by myself and used to be mine but my school took it over. Then we went on a field trip for lunch to china taste and picked up our meal and ate it with chopsticks at school sitting on the floor with our shoes off like they do in china, afterwards Reed and I had fun eating   ice cream with chopsticks.

Day 11 Pinnicle 3

Wow. It’s amazing that Jesus didn’t eat for 40 days and 40 nights and wasn’t hungry during that time only after. The serpent said to Jesus to bow before him not to him. We give to much credit to Colombus. He was as bad as good. In Lessons in responcibility for boys I’m suposed to ask Mom and Dad for more rules!

Back in the day people would give thier life’s savings for 1 tulip bulb. Van O’s was smart to paint the year painting. It is a rainy so we had to do the inside Pinicle mountain. COMMPASSES AND MAPS!

Day 10

Why did John the Baptist call anyone who came to be baptized a “brood of vipers”? BBQ comes from the Arowak languege. We also learned to grow tobaco from the Arowak and tabaco was the main source of money in Virginia. Back in the day they didn’t consider a slave a person.
