Homeschool Journal, Friday The Thirteenth, Dun Dun Dun
by Vwala •
Our cousins came to see us so we didn’t start school until after lunch. I had a ton of fun with my cousin, Sabra Joy. I wish they could of stayed longer!!! It only seemed like a half-hour even though it was actually two-and-a-half hours. This was the best Friday The Thirteenth Ever!!!
We read about Jacob and Esau in Bible, I wonder if Esau was really about to starve or if he was just an exaggerating.
We read more about the Byzantine empire. Justinian wanted to have a Christian empire, I didn’t know he was Christian. Did you? Monks seem to be really good artists and are very well educated, but I don’t think being a monk, a nun, or amish brings you closer to God at all, I think reading the Bible and praying brings you closer to Him.
We read poem about Pocahontas, and pilgrims. There are poems about almost everything!!! It was sort of funny that we read a poem about Pocahontas because I just got a book about her.
We read how king Arthur got the round table, it was a wedding gift from his father-in-law. I like our book about king Arthur, it is interesting but a little bit confusing. I wish we were done with school.

We read about finding a wife for Isaac, it is a story I have read many times before but it always strikes me with something different each time. This time, I wondered if the servant believed in God before that happened?
US INTEL CLAIMS RUSSIAN HACKERS PUT DONALD TRUMP IN OFFICE
by Reed Karman •
The intelligence community of the United States has claimed that Russian hackers hacked the presidential election Nov. 8 and that Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered it. US President Barack Obama says that he did not underestimate Putin, just what a cyber-attack can do. It is thought that the attackers (if there were any) put the favor towards Donald Trump.

I didn’t get much school done today because Mom is on jury duty, she didn’t get picked but she was still gone until about lunch and we didn’t do any extra yesterday. Dad worked from home because we didn’t know if she would get picked and he had a lot of meetings so I didn’t get anything but yesterdays math lesson done until after lunch. I went with Dad to pick her up, it was interesting because she told us a bit about the case because you are allowed to if you weren’t picked for the case, (I am guessing this is the rule because if you are allowed to and you are on the case the people you are telling it to would probably voice their own opinions, which is fine if you aren’t on the case.) and for school later I had to pretend to be a lawyer getting ready for a case against Israel and Judah, it was pretty cool how that worked out but sort of freaky too.
Obama’s Goodbye
by Vwala •
Obama did his final speech as president at McCormic Place, Chicago. Obama covered things from his dream of a post-racial US, to the trials of being president, to not booing Trump, to believing in America. And finished it with a call to arms, remorse for unfinished projects, and a good cry. Goodbye Obama, hello Trump, may you both be remembered for your good deeds.

In Bible we learned about Abraham offering Issac in sacrifice to God. Of the 19 kings of Judah eight were considered good. In 1899 a 2,000 square mile swarm of locusts were being studied. In History we learned about monasteries. We read three poems about trees. In Science we started Physics but we had to skip chemistry for now. In The Children’s Bible Field Guide we read about some kings and had to put it in our Journal how they taught us to be godly, they taught me that you can imitate whoever came before you in this position (if they were good at it).
