Today our principle/dad/substitute teacher/guidance councilor taught us today because our mom is going to funeral out of state today and tomorrow. I miss our teacher/mom/guidance councilor but I did have a lot of fun with our substitute teacher.
In science we learned about enzymes. They are sort of cool, and I like how they make fruits and vegetables ripen, meat be more tender, and make it so we can make cheese. The questions were ok, not too hard but not super easy.

In our new book we started on Tuesday The History of Medicine we learned about a doctor who challenged the teachings of his teachers and an author/doctor of ancient Greece. His name was Andreas Vesalius. He was born just before midnight December 31. The year he published his book about his discoveries was the same year Nicolas Copernicus published his book about the sun being the center of the solar system. It was the start of the scientific revolution. In another book of Science we learned about enzymes. They either break apart or put together molecules. That led to learning that canned pineapple is precooked therefore deactivating the enzymes that break down things.

For vocabulary I had to look up a bunch of latin words. Did you know that the word alien came from a latin word that means other? It took a super long time to look up what they all meant.
I was learning about homophones in word study today. Homophones are words that sound the same but have different meanings, such as two, and to, or there and they’re. It was sort of easy but fun and didn’t take a super long time.

In Bible we read about Sin in the family and priests to be punished. In 100 Gateway Cities we learned about Tripoli, the capitol of Libya. It means natural abrasive. Which indeed it is because the city is named after tripoli which is an ancient replacement for sandpaper.

Yesterday we started a new book it’s name is David Livingstone. It is in a seiries we have read before and he was Mary Slessors hero. It’s a really good book and it’s super duper cool and fun and it all fits together. I really really like this book.
Tunisis is in Tunisia, we don’t know what Tunisia means. 2,100,000 people live there. They have a high unemployment rate and still do child sacrifice. Child sacrifice is horrible, when we prayed for them I prayed especially for it to stop, it is so so sad!!!

In Bible we read about God being angry with the Israelites for giving the blind and stolen sheep of their flocks for sacrifices. In 100 Gateway Cities we learned about Tunis the capitol of Tunisia. Tunis has 2,100,000 people. 98.9% of the population is Muslim. We read two poems about one about an octopus and another about a skunk.
When George Washington had a cold they blood let him and he died from blood loss.

CURRENT EVENTS: ISSUE WAY TO MANY,WHAT’S THAT ABOUT A CEASE FIRE?
by Vwala •
There was a cease fire between the Armenians and the Azerbaijans. Now both sides are claiming that the other broke it, and they were fired at a lot. The root of this is from a conflict between the christian Armenians and the muslim Azerbaijans. Because of this there are a lot of borderline tensions between the two. Now Russia and the U.S. are encouraging them to actually keep a cease fire. But it doesn’t seem to be heading in that direction. Hopefully this conflct will be resolved soon!

On Friday I was sick so today I had to do school. It was super hard and took a long time.
Science was about if it is a good or bad idea to choose how your babies look. The questions were super duper hard, but I finally finished them.
