12/11/17

In Bible we read about Pentacost, when the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples. I forgot what Pentacost was and I was going to ask mom what it was to see if there was a hidden meaning behind the Holy Spirit coming then. But when she told me I laughed so hard at myself. Ohh well, it was a good thought, it just didn’t turn out too well.

We read a poem by Edwaard Lear. He was one of the youngest of 21 children!!! He was lonely as an adult. Probably because he was used to so many siblings! His poems are lonely too.

12/12/17

We read about Sual becoming Paul in Bible. He barely escaped from people who tried to kill him several times. I am glad that God can change people so much, or else a lot of people wouldn’t be saved! I didn’t realize that Paul stayed about two years in the place where he got back his sight before they persacuted him, that explains how he had people to help him get out in a basket so soon!

We learned more about Napoleon in History. Today he won all of Austria’s land in Italy. I personally do not remember that Austria had any land in Italy. They probably won it in another war. We read about Waterloo too, the Battle of Waterloo is very famous.

12/13/17

Today we started watching our neighbor’s chickens. She has four hens and she asked us to watch them until Sunday. We get to keep the eggs that they lay during that time. I like the chickens, I am slightly afraid of them, but then again when I first met our cat, Lava I was afraid of him too. (And he is a ‘fraidy-cat)

12/14/17

In history we learned about South America becoming free. And then getting recaptured by the Spanish. And then getting it’s freedom. There are no more ups and downs, sorry. We learned about Simon Bolivar, he is who they named Bolivia after. They are spelled very differently, nevermind, that doesn’t matter very much. Bolivar wanted South America to be run like the US. Although he accomplished much in his lifetime, sadly, his dream was never a reality.

12/15/17

Today we stopped early to go to a thing at about 4:30. We fed the chickens today. They are loud. I am sad that we only have two days left. I hurt my back on Wednesday. It still hurts today. I didn’t get very much school done.

Homeschool Journal 11/29/17

Today I tried to finish up yesterdays school but I ended up going to the store with mom and then youth group and so on. In Bible we learned that Jesus has overcome the world, but He has also made the world. So I don’t know if that really means much, well I guess it does mean that He still has power. It’s not like He lost all his power long ago and now He’s just hanging around, unable to do anything. Luckily for us He’s not like that. Or we would be in huge trouble.

Journal 11/11/16

Today was another loooooooong day of school, we learned about wind tunnels and air pressure in science, as well as a way that they made to prevent gasses from building up, it breaks down the molecules in the gasses, then they are pretty harmless. That is a great way to cut down on any greenhouse gasses, and it would help air pollution too. We also learned about cube worlds, it is a little bit odd, but it might be interesting to watch.

To the moon and back, in my sports utility vehicle?

There have been some flying cars spotted in California. They are so top secret the company Zee.Aero, won’t disclose anything, not even what they are doing. They have a patented, and we know of at least several types with different kinds of motors, they have vertical lift, they hover and land nicely. It is not very loud according to Steve Eggleston, the assistant manager of a airplane parts company in Hollister California. Zee.Aero has purchased a landing strip, and may be close to a scientific breakthrough. They have some of the best scientists working for them, so maybe we will be going “to the moon and back,” in the near future.

Today we went on a field trip to places that I am about to tell you what are, we dropped off donations at savers, did a walmart pick up, went in to get eggs and pledge because it was too late to add those. Went to the library, and got an awesome movie about ballet. Took lunch to dad because he forgot it, realized that we didn’t get him turkey, so he only had bread and an apple, (in hindsight I am really glad that I added an apple) went partly to the store with dad, realized that we had a bunch of refrigerated stuff in the back that had been waiting for a hour, turned around dropped him off and went home to get the stuff in the fridge. Then it was lunch, so we ate lunch, and then did school. I didn’t finish because I had a test in math, (Dad decided that he didn’t want me starting pre-algebra yet) and a big thing for Bible, I have to look up and then write down almost everything I can find about Israel’s enemies, and now it is 8:00 I haven’t finished school and I am going to have to do it tomorrow, (by the way  am singing the song from Annie) and I think you are crazy to be reading this because I am crazy and have lost my marbles, literally, I lost almost all of them. And now I am rambling on and on, and I am misspelling words that I am sure I know, and I would be kind of surprised if you are understanding more than half of what you are reading. Adi tried to color Reed’s hair green, but I stopped her, and now that I have bored you with almost every little thing that came to mind I shall wrap it up, figuratively.  If I had said that all in one breath I would be red as a cherry right now.

Journal 11/8/16

Voting day, wow. I trust that God will take care of our country as it plunges into this misery, He will take care of us if Trump or Hillary is President.

For Bible I got to choose out of several women to read about, I choose Abigail, because my leader in church is named Abigail and I thought it would be interesting to learn more about her namesake. She was the wife of Nabal and then David.

We finally finished our science book!!! I was so happy that for a second I didn’t care who gets to be President, that was until I learned that if Hillary Clinton wins, my world and many others will be turned upside down,

Journal 11/7/16

Today mom wasn’t feeling well so we didn’t do science or history. So I won’t have that much to write about today, but I can tell you some of what we did do, so here it goes..

We did do Bible, did you know that Samson was strong enough to lift and carry for miles uphill a weight heavier than a van???

We had s’mores and played on some cool inflatibles, then we had popcorn and a movie. In the morning we had donuts and cleaned up.

homeschool journal 10/29/15

I was still feeling not good today so I bearly got anything done at all.

The poem that we read today was about caterpillers.

Science was about your eyes still. We learned about how you see in color, and how you see light. Did you know that all babies are born with blue eyes? Isn’t that cool.
