The US says ISIS is going broke. Counter-terrorism has been bombing their oil places and other things such as their oil tankers and such. Trying to make them go broke so they can’t pay the military. They believe they are succeeding, as ISIS has cut down the military’s pay by half. So maybe ISIS is to be defeated a bit easier in the near future.

Weekend Homeschool Journal
by Vwala •
Sadly I had to do school this weekend. I made a concept map about my cat toy, Rolly the self rolling ball of string, it took forever to make. Than I had to write out the steps I would have to take to actually make it, it would have a motion sensors that would make the yarn be rolled out and then be rolled back up again, that would really get the cats attention!!! I also wrote an essay the name of it is Why I Should Take Notes And Obey My Dear Ol’ Ma it is a very long name from my mom’s words, I think she will find my essay very amusing.
Homeschool Journal, Friday The Thirteenth, Dun Dun Dun

Our cousins came to see us so we didn’t start school until after lunch. I had a ton of fun with my cousin, Sabra Joy. I wish they could of stayed longer!!! It only seemed like a half-hour even though it was actually two-and-a-half hours. This was the best Friday The Thirteenth Ever!!!
We read about Jacob and Esau in Bible, I wonder if Esau was really about to starve or if he was just an exaggerating.
We read more about the Byzantine empire. Justinian wanted to have a Christian empire, I didn’t know he was Christian. Did you? Monks seem to be really good artists and are very well educated, but I don’t think being a monk, a nun, or amish brings you closer to God at all, I think reading the Bible and praying brings you closer to Him.
We read poem about Pocahontas, and pilgrims. There are poems about almost everything!!! It was sort of funny that we read a poem about Pocahontas because I just got a book about her.
We read how king Arthur got the round table, it was a wedding gift from his father-in-law. I like our book about king Arthur, it is interesting but a little bit confusing. I wish we were done with school.

I didn’t get much school done today because Mom is on jury duty, she didn’t get picked but she was still gone until about lunch and we didn’t do any extra yesterday. Dad worked from home because we didn’t know if she would get picked and he had a lot of meetings so I didn’t get anything but yesterdays math lesson done until after lunch. I went with Dad to pick her up, it was interesting because she told us a bit about the case because you are allowed to if you weren’t picked for the case, (I am guessing this is the rule because if you are allowed to and you are on the case the people you are telling it to would probably voice their own opinions, which is fine if you aren’t on the case.) and for school later I had to pretend to be a lawyer getting ready for a case against Israel and Judah, it was pretty cool how that worked out but sort of freaky too.
Obama’s Goodbye
by Vwala •
Obama did his final speech as president at McCormic Place, Chicago. Obama covered things from his dream of a post-racial US, to the trials of being president, to not booing Trump, to believing in America. And finished it with a call to arms, remorse for unfinished projects, and a good cry. Goodbye Obama, hello Trump, may you both be remembered for your good deeds.

In Bible I learned from the accounts of the good kings of Judea that to be a good God follower you should not let the temptation for wrong be there, so that you will not be tempted. I read about Asa, Amaziah, Azariah, and Jotham. They followed God but bad things happened to most of them because “Only the high places were not taken away; the people still sacrificed and burned incense on the high places.” 2 Kings 14:4, this is also said in 2 Kings 15:4, and something that is much the same in 1 Kings 15:14. The kings followed God and obeyed God, they didn’t sacrifice. But the people did, and they paid for it, with the exception of Asa because “the heart of Asa was wholly devoted to the Lord all his days.” 1 Kings 15:14. But the other kings still did right in his sight as far as we are told, and we are told about their downfalls. So their must be a reason, a purpose deeper than the eye can see, and maybe just maybe that purpose is to teach us the lesson of not letting the temptation be there to tempt.
We skipped the section on chemistry and went strait to physics in science. I thought physics was just gravity and stuff like that but according to the book every single invention from the wheel to modern-day things such as computers and MP3 players are due to the wonderful amazing physics. I personally think it is a bit of an exaggeration, but they can think whatever they want.
We also read some poems about trees. They were crazy, one was talking, one was staring at someone, and the other one I could make neither heads nor tails of it. But I could tell they were all using personification.
Homeschool Journal 12-16 (Cat Inventor)
by Vwala •
Some of this stuff I didn’t actually do the week I was supposed to do it but it is still this weeks stuff, so who knows when I actually did it. I had to brainstorm an invention, we just got a cat two days ago so I picked cat toys, I was supposed to write what they do and how I could improve it. I wrote for cats to play with and I thought, wouldn’t it be awesome it the cat toys would play with the cat by them self? I know other people have already tried this. I’ve seen the feather that goes in and out of the holes, the robot mice, and even the mice that spin around. But I wanted to do something else, so I tackled a few problems people have with their cats. Number one, dehydration; cats will get dehydrated just a water bowl and wet food every once in a while is fine, but I wanted something else. So I came up with the idea of the water bowl being attached to them, it would be attached to their collar and it would be breakaway so when they jump it would detach. Number two, getting their collar off; now the only way to really be completely guaranteed it won’t come off is for a non breakaway collar, but you really don’t want that. So I figure the cat won’t try to get it off if they want it on. Now think about that, does it make sense? Of course it makes sense but how would I get them to want their collar on. This sounds a bit cruel but it isn’t that bad really. Take their food bowl away for half a day and give them a treat ball that opens by it’s self if it senses their collar, it might take a couple tries of doing this and putting the collar back on and showing them they get the treat if their collar is on for some cats, but it could work. I have a couple more ideas but they will have to wait because I already have a word count of 359.

Today I pretty much just did last weeks school, I wrote a biography and made a timeline about my grandma. It took and hour to do the timeline and I also had to do the biography, I was supposed to interview her, write it, and do the time line in three days plus all my other school, now I am way behind and I still haven’t finished last weeks school!!! And the computer broke so I couldn’t do math, so all I did today was write a biography, and make a timeline about my grandma, some current events, and write a poem sort of like the types in psalms, I haven’t even started this weeks school yet!!! Here is the poem:
My family is great
they don’t get mad
when I burn the chocolate cake
they love me so sweetly
but sometimes they’re crazy
but I love them so
my family is great

In science we learned about our body systems, and one of those is the digestive system. Did you know that our small intestines are about four times our body length, that is really long!!! No wonder it takes three days to digest something! We learned this equation, glucose + oxygen + carbon dioxide + energy, I think they might have made some typos, because I copied it from the book it still doesn’t make sense to me. If you understand it please comment.

Did you know that Agustus Ceasar was ruling when Mary had Jesus? H is the one who called the cencus. And the angels came up with the saying peace on earth goodwill to men. We learned about the beginning of christianity according to our history book, it wasn’t too bad, it was mostly correct and didn’t put it down that much. Have you hear of the Labarum? It is a christian symbol, I copied the picture of it that was in the book and that is part of the picture I’m putting at the bottom of the page.
Adult usually have 206 bones in their bodies, a hand and wrist together have 27, and a foot has 26. Synthesia is a disease that make your senses get mixed up, like you might think green tastes like an apple, or pasta sounds like a flute, or air feels like green.
