Today we had an assignment to read a bunch of Bible verses with promises in them, and then write in our journal our favorite one. It was a pretty hard choice as it is the Bible and most of it is good, (I used most, because of Job, not that it’s bad in any way but due to the fact that it is mostly sad, and may be interpreted as bad because God lets things happen to Job even though he didn’t do anything wrong, even though it is sort of encouraging in a way because of Job’s courage and  faithfulness towards God even though most would turn away because He let “bad” things happen to them even though they are really good because they bring the greater glory to God.) Now back to the question, I personally liked Isaiah 41:13 myself, here it is: “For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.”

The ancient city of Ur was in modern-day Iraq, Abram lived in Ur before he knew God. Ur was a port city, and it has been around for a very long time.

In History we learned more about New Egypt. It is considered the Golden Age of Egypt. We read three poems about random things like time being a gypsy man. In Science we learned about the fossil record of fish. The supporters of the fossil record of fish for evolution said it is “shrouded in mystery” on how it supports evolution.

School was okay today, we went to the park and did some school there. It was a ton of fun. It is 3:04 and I am finished with school.

Did you know that there are over a 1,000 clay tablets in one  library in the fertle cresent. Isn’t that cool? It really helps us to learn about the past.

I was learning more about commas and their uses in binder work. There is this really funny book that dad told me about a couple years ago, it is about the importance of using commas the right way. The main thing in it is this: The panda eats, shoots, and leaves. That is the first one, here is the second one: The panda eats shoots and leaves. Aren’t commas amazing!!!

Abram means “Father” and Abraham means “Honored Father”. That is why God changed Abrams name. I wonder why people named him Abram in the first place. We read five poems about night and sleep. The last was Wynken Blynken and Nod. We started a new read-aloud called God King. It is in the times of King Hezekiah. In Science we learned about the fossil record of invertebrates, including coral. We also learned about the fossil layers.

Today is the 20th day of school, yay. Only 80 more to go until the 100th, I can’t wait, I am getting ready for saccot, it is one of the Jewish holidays we celibrate, we get to sleep in tent or forts depending on the weather for a whole week, and we also give presents because that is our christmas type thing. It is really fun and it is in october. I usual try to start early because I like to make handmade presents and they take longer, but I got a late start this year. Speaking of fun thing later in the year as most of you all know I am going to be in the nutcracker this year, it is awesome and a dream come true, God has called me to ballet and I am going to use it as a way to glorify Him, I can fell the beauty of it even if I can’t see it and I have a passion for it that I have for nothing else, I am want and hope to glorify God through it by joining a company that shares Gods word through ballet, I hope that God will have that or any other way to serve HIm in His plan for me.

School was okay, we read about this awesome invention, it is glasses that make it so blind people can see!!!!!!!! Isn’t that awesome!!! I hope that lots of people get to use it, and it works well.

In Cool Stuff 2.0 we learned about artificial retina’s for blind people. But it does blurry crude pictures and the brain has to learn to fill in the rest of the pictures. We also learned about different types of watches. One of them uses binary code, another uses internet time. A worldwide time that has 1,000 bits per day and it has no time zones so there is no confusion over that. Another receives constant radio updates from an atomic clock. We only had two books to read together because Mom accidentally read ahead yesterday. We had Science and a weird read-aloud about the Trojan War.

Little Rock and the committee

Today was awesome, I have not eaten lunch yet and I have finished school. It is 11:54, and I even got to play Wii with Reed before school.

I did some extra yesterday, like I wrote a poem I was supposed to be taking notes for, but I got carried away and wrote it already. Here it is;

Harriet Tubman

Harriet Tubman

was a slave

but she kept on hummin’

she didn’t like to behave

she ran away from her husband

and then she gave

freedom to all from the clubman

so all could live on a ave.

Yay for Harriet Tubman

By From me to you
