TRUMP, MAYOR CLASH OVER HURRICANE RECOVERY

Trump clashed with the Democratic mayor of San Juan over whether or not the US is doing enough in recovery assistance to Puerto Rico from Hurricane Maria. Trump says that the island should assist more in it’s own recovery and the mayor says Trump isn’t doing enough while they both say the US territory needs more supplies.
FIRES IN PORTUGAL KILL 35 AND COUNTING

The 523 intentionally set fires in Portugal have killed 35 people, making this years total 99. That breaks 1966’s 25 death record for deaths in a year from fires at.
TRUMP, MCCONNELL TO PUSH TAX REFORM

President of the United States Donald Trump and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell have agreed to coordinate to try and pass Trump’s tax reform by the end of the year.

In Bible Jesus turned water into wine. We read a poem by Elizabeth Browning.

In Bible we started John which starts with John the Baptist baptizing Jesus and an introduction. Jesus said to Nathaniel he was a “true Israelite” after Nathaniel asked if anything good could come out of Nazareth. In History we learned about what happened in India after the king Aurangzeb (Conqueror of the World) died. A bunch of kings died in a row. We also reviewed the Ottoman Empire. John the Baptist said he wasn’t Elijah when asked but he was the prophesied Elijah to come before the Christ.
