I tried out for the Nutcracker on Saturday, and I might get to be a bonbon!!! Yay, but I won’t know if I get a part and what it is if I get one until this Saturday or next Wednesday. It is driving me crazy!!!!!!

The persentige of chance that a land animal could become a whale by acidentule mutations is probably about 1/364 followed by 1,625 zeros/ IMPOSIBLE.

We have only Grant over today because Timothy is sick. Because I worked ahead today it is only 11:00. In Bible we read about Jesus walking on water. In The History of the World we read about Hammurabi. He made the first set of rules everyone from kings to peasants had to follow. We read 4 poems about children helping their dads, a dad falling into a pond and a dad talking about his toddler. We calculated the likely hood of a hyena mutating into a whale. It is 1 to 364 followed by 1,625 zeros.

The Hittites introduced horses to Europe from China.

In Bible we read about Jesus feeding the 5,000. In The Children’s Bible Field Guide we reviewed creation. They say the first three days were preparation and the last three days were decoration. In The History of the World we learned about Joseph they thought when Joseph got his coat Benjamin was already born. We read two poems, they were about parents telling stories. In Science we read about scientists thinking whales came from various land animals from bears to deer. In Math I learned about the rate of change. The other Math I did today was a test. I did extra school because we have the Ferris’s over tomorrow again.

Homeschool Journal 8/24/16

Today was Adi’s birthday. We went to a big park across the river and to the store to get supplies to make rock candy. In Bible we read about the man with a legion of demons and the woman who touched His robe on His to the officials house to heal his daughter. I learned about banking in Math today. We read 7 poems mostly about children’s thoughts. We learned about Sargon building the first empire. He was the cup-bearer for a city-state king. He convinced the army officials to murder the king and make himself king. After that happened he took over all of Mesopotamia.

Today my mom babysat some friends again. The morning was very productive considering. We went on a field trip to the library, and I was almost done already checked out and stuff and Adi was just starting to look at books. I’m glad that I found everything easily, and I got some extra reading time in too.

I was “taught how to subtract again.” It’s not bad, at least it’s not to hard, plus it makes school go much quicker. Math was done in a flash because of that, so the morning went pretty smoothly altogether.

I looked up a letter the main character wrote in the book I’m reading and I had to check if it had all the parts of a good letter. The person forgot to sign the letter. The part of a good letter are heading, greeting, body, signature.

In Bible today we read about the parable of the seeds sown on the road. Later when all his followers asked him about it I did not realize that it was not only his 12 disciples but all of his other followers too. We also did a Bible Highway in The Children’s Bible Field Guide. We read 5 poems today. They were about being things in different months. We learned about the Law of Use and Disuse. It is the theory that if you don’t use a body part then your offspring will not have that body part. A man disproved it by cutting off 20 generations of mice’s tails. Their children still had tails.

Joshua was a General. In ancient times copper was mined by hand. Darwin thought whales came from bears.

Today is the first day of week two, wow time is passing so quickly. I am having a eaisier time in handwriting. And math is still the same, at least I’m doing simple addition now. All the numbers have zeros in them, it is so easy.

I had to circle all the synonams in wordly wise, it was actully sort of fun. It was easy and didn’t take a long time. I’m glad I didn’t have to do critical thinking today, it is really really hard. And I  don’t like it a lot. I wish that it didn’t exist, but sadly it still does.

Today I am going to have a sleepover with one of my awesome friends!!!!! It is going to be a awesome day!!!!!! We are going to have cake because it is so yummy.

We read a book in science today named Cool stuff 2.0 and how it works. It was really cool, we learned how smoke alarms work!!! We only get to read it on Fridays though. Boo! but it’s still really cool!!!

Math is still super easy. I am acutuly getting tired of it. Math is so easy it’s boring! Espesally when I have to listen to a lecture.
