In History we learned of the weakening and fall of Rome. The Vandals sacking Rome was the start of the steep decline. The Emperor moved into a swamp. We broke our record of Poems today with 15. A glider went high enough for the crew to need spacesuits.
Nineveh was the capitol of Assyria.

This morning we went to see the Nutcracker (which is what we kept having to take Vella to for practice and other performances) in the morning and Dad got the morning off of work.
GOVERNMENT BLOCKS OIL PIPELINE PROJECT

The US Army Corps of Engineers has decided to block an oil pipeline project in North Dakota and three other states in an effort to ease recent tensions with local Native Americans who claim that a section of it running under a lake could ruin their fresh water supply. The project has been completed other than that section. The government has said that going with the original plan is not out of the question.

Today I did not do much school because I watched Adi all morning while Mom and Vella shopped. In the evening we had to take Vella to ballet downtown.

The Romans built the first apartments. In History we learned about Roman sports. Most of them were fighting training. We set our record by reading 14 poems today about assorted things.
Constantine was a Roman Emperor. Constantinople was the capitol of the Roman Empire at one point. Octopi have three hearts.

We did not do together stuff today but we went grocery shopping then went to a birthday party and then went straight to Fort Smith 2 hours away to see some friends from Sidney, NE who were there for a robotics competition.
