The United States has decided to send 4,000 extra troops to Afghanistan where the US recently helped them form their special operations unit. Some Americans still push to completely pull out of the country or to hire mercenaries after withdrawal. The US military supports their decision by saying that they want to make sure there is no threat of terrorism to the United States. The Afghans say they want as much help as they can get. The new soldiers are planned to help Afghanistan increase and expand their spec-ops unit on top of regular duties.

Today we started late because every one woke up late. In The BBC Manual we learned about the books and structure of the New Testament. In The real Bible Judas hanged himself and Jesus was tried, tortured and crucified. In History we learned abut Jamestown. We read one poem by Shakespeare from hamlet that Mom memorized in high school. During A Murder For Her Majesty we looked up different memory types. All my Current Events are about the US military. I did one lesson of Algebra 1 exactly again. I have read one chapter of Genesis starting at chapter 1 and going in order since Day 1. I read two chapters of The King’s Fifth. I have not done Lynda.com yet because my computer is still broken but should be working soon. I have not done today’s Science or all of yesterday’s either. I am again writing this a day late. Now I am writing from yesterday’s point of view again. We went to the library today I returned 11 books and got five more. I continued reading Keys to the Demon Prison. In reference to September 17, 2017 Pokemon card game decks usually use 1-3 types of Pokemon with energies to go with them plus the Colorless type of which never requires specific energies to attack. My friend we met at the gym had a lot of types of Pokemon but two types of energy and not nearly enough of either. Also with the actual Pokemon some cards require their younger versions of themselves to be in play to enter play so each Pokemon can grow up through the course of each battle.

In The BBC Manual we learned about the structure and different types of books in the Bible. In the real Bible we read about Jesus’ being betrayed, arrest and being abandoned and Peter’s denial. We went to the house we are renting out to sign a contract with our new renters and watch the solar eclipse. It was at 80% in Little Rock. In history we learned about King James I of England and VI of Scotland. He was the one of issued the King James Bible and persecuted the pilgrims who went on the Mayflower. My computer broke yesterday so I did not do Korean while we ran out of vinegar so I have to wait for science. I did one lesson of Algebra 1 exactly. I actually started it in the lecture and finished on the last question. Over the weekend I finished In Too Deep, How to Ride a Dragon’s Storm, Nightmare of the Iguana and The Griffin’s Riddle and started Keys to the Demon Prison. In Too Deep is Book 6 in The 39 Clues. How To Ride A Dragon’s Storm is Book 7 in How To Train Your Dragon. Nightmare of the Iguana is Book 8 of Dragonbreath. The Griffin’s Riddle is Book 5 of The Imaginary Veterinary. Keys To The Demon Prison is Book 5 of Fablehaven. I read two chapters of my The King’s Fifth today. We did not get back from our old house until 3 and we left for it before lunch. I am writing this from perspective of yesterday because it did not get done then along with Korean. Yesterday (which I am calling today again now) I continued reading Keys to the Demon Prison.

On Fridays I will work ahead because we try to finish before lunch on Fridays. We do not have an extra Bible book on Friday. In the real Bible that we did do we read about Palm Sunday. Vella will start Vocabulary Vine next week which is about Latin and Greek and she is mad at me for reminding Mom of it. We did A Murder For Her Majesty during History and Bible today. It is 11:30 a.m. now. In Algebra 1 I only did what was left of my lesson and worked ahead which is good because Mom did not remember to put Alone Bible into the Friday schedule. So I did it during History and together Bible. I had a Science experiment today involving converting Ancient Hebrew measurements. I only had one chapter in The King’s Fifth. We will be meeting some friends this afternoon and probably most Fridays. Two day ago we got bottles to use a science experiment piece we bought with Adi. I have finished everything today except this. Yesterday I finished The Nixie’s Song and started In Too Deep. The Nixie’s Song is the first in the Beyond the Spiderwick Chronicles a sequel series to The Spiderwick Chronicles. In Too Deep is Book Six in The 39 Clues. I have not read anything today. I will eat lunch, finish cleaning the kids’ bathroom and clean my room after writing this. We only had one History book today along with only the Bible in Bible. I am trying to make all my Journals at least 250 words.

Rioting in Kenya over their presidential elections continues. Police have now killed 24 with guns in attempts to suppress them.
US AND NORTH KOREA STILL STANDING OFF, CHINA WARNS BOTH
by Reed Karman •
Chinese president Xi Jinping has pushed US president Donald Trump to withhold from threatening North Korea after threats have flown back and forth between the US and North Korea for a week. Xi urged North Korea to do similarly. Afterwords North Korea claimed that millions of their citizens “are keen to fight”. And still threatens an “enveloping strike” on the US territory of Guam. China claims they will stay neutral of North Korea strikes first but will join them if the United States or it’s allies deal the first blow.
PROTESTS OVER REMOVAL OF GENERAL ROBERT E. LEE STATUE
by Reed Karman •
On Saturday August 12 protesters gathered at former Lee Park in Charlottesville, Virginia to protest the removal of a statue of the Emancipation Park’s former namesake, General Robert E. Lee of the American Civil War, on his horse. When counter-protesters advanced on the area fights broke out between the groups. The police then arrived and dispersed the original protesters while the counter-protesters started braking up. Then a car driven by a man later identified as Alex Fields Jr. rammed into a group of them apparently purposefully. Killing one, putting 19 in the hospital and injuring 16 more. The day was the most dramatic stroke in the year and a half of debate in the town over the statue.

In Bible we started “But Don’t all Religions Lead to God?” In the actual Bible John the Baptist got beheaded, Jesus fed 5,000 people at once and Jesus and Peter walked on water in a storm. In history we learned about the Dutch Rebellion. We read another poem by Shakespeare. I did not quite finish a whole lesson of Algebra 1 but was only required to do two questions because of yesterday anyway. What I did do was about equation systems. The whole chapter I am in will be. I have not finished my Current Events, LA assignment or Wordly Wise yet. After writing this I will do that. Yesterday I finished The Big Book of Spy Stuff, ESP, Area 51 and Ancient Astronauts. Today I started The Nixie’s Song. My reader, The King’s Fifth, is a Newberry Honor Book. In reference to two day ago a Pokemon Card Game deck is made from three types of cards, Pokemon, energies and trainers. Pokemon are the cards that you battle with your opponents Pokemon. Energies help the Pokemon attack and trainers do things like healing Pokemon or looking through the cards that you don’t have access to yet in the game and finding something to take from them. There are different types of Pokemon and their attacks usually require the Pokemon to have been given the same type of energy earlier in the game. A lot of attacks require the Pokemon to have been given multiple energies earlier in the game. Usually not all of them have to be the same type as the Pokemon but some can be any type of energy.

In Bible we read about after The Sermon on the Mount the same day when Jesus told a bunch of parables in a boat and explained them to his disciples privately. I did almost two lessons in Algebra 1 today. In history we learned about early non-native settlers in America, particularly South America. The Spanish got 500,000,000,000 dollars of gold and silver from South America. We went out today from 10:30 to 11:45 to go to the orthodontist to get my wire cut. They were really closed but they are open for cutting wires that really hurt sometimes. After that we went to the dollar store and got a bunch of things. Adi got Starbursts and Mom got a lot jump ropes. Because of that I did not get to much English done yet and will do less even though that is what I am doing after this. I also did not clean my room at all yet. In Science I could not find my vocabulary words and had to copy them out of Mom’s binder because they did not label them.Yesterday on Lynda.com I completed 2% of a Windows 10 Training course. Today I did 7% more. We did not have poems today. Yesterday I finished Your Smarter Than You Think, William Wrigley Jr.: Wrigley’s Chewing Gum Founder and started The Big Book of Spy Stuff. Today I continued The Big Book of Spy Stuff but did not finish. After writing this and doing English I will clean my room. In reference to yesterday you need 60 cards to make a Pokemon Card Game deck. Before my friend did not have that many.

Today I worked very fast to go to see some friends at 1:30. We played tag in a gym while their mom worked out. My friend that was part of the family we met compiled a deck for the Pokemon card game whereas before he did not have enough cards. Now we are going to do History and Bible every day. In The BBC Manual we learned about the impact of the Bible in History and the modern world. In the real Bible we read the next part of The Sermon on the Mount. Mom wants us to memorize The Lord’s Prayer for extra memorization also there is a poster from The BBC Manual that has over 50 references that if we memorize all of them something might happen. We started our poem book today and only read one, All the World’s a Stage. In Science I did not have an experiment and it turns out I will not have one most days. I did have to watch a video and answer some questions which I did not do yesterday. Yesterday I got vocabulary words and definitions that I have to memorize and I will get a lot I finished everything except this on time today. In Algebra 1 I did almost two whole lessons when I was required to do a little less than one. I read a lot more of my book yesterday and some today and am on the last chapter. I have finished organizing one of my bookshelves during lunch today. Adi and Mom made more cupcakes before lunch for Adi’s school. After writing this I will probably read the rest of my book.
