Journal 11/9/16

Tomorrow I am starting pre-algebra, I was bored so I asked mom if I could do pre-algebra because I was a year ahead and then last year we switched maths, and I didn’t know the trick to multiply large numbers with 0’s in my head. So I didn’t end up being ahead and now it’s boring.

Mom accidentally gave me Reed’s spelling test, French words and all, though the French words don’t count. I got a B.

Today is election day. In history we learned about the Aryans. They fleed Russia and settled in India. Buddha was an Aryan. We read eight poems. They were mostly about mice. We learned about the supposed natural formation of protienoids and amino acids. Oxygen is poisonous to amino acids. We had to pick a woman leader off a list of woman from the Bible, they were all supposed to be leaders but only one was. It was Esther. Ester was a Queen while the Jews were in exile. She was a Jew and there was a plot to kill every single one and she helped her uncle save them.

Voting day, wow. I trust that God will take care of our country as it plunges into this misery, He will take care of us if Trump or Hillary is President.

For Bible I got to choose out of several women to read about, I choose Abigail, because my leader in church is named Abigail and I thought it would be interesting to learn more about her namesake. She was the wife of Nabal and then David.

We finally finished our science book!!! I was so happy that for a second I didn’t care who gets to be President, that was until I learned that if Hillary Clinton wins, my world and many others will be turned upside down,

Journal 11/7/16

Today mom wasn’t feeling well so we didn’t do science or history. So I won’t have that much to write about today, but I can tell you some of what we did do, so here it goes..

We did do Bible, did you know that Samson was strong enough to lift and carry for miles uphill a weight heavier than a van???

Homeschool Journal 11/7/16

We read the last chapter of 1 Corinthians today. In The Children’s Bible Field Guide we read about the Judges. There were four major Judges. Judges translates to rulers. Mom was sick so we aren’t reading history, poems or science today.

Journal 11/4/16

Today we read several chapters of the Trojan War, it is a long book. It is really hard to understand, and mom is also having trouble with the names. We did science and it was about how bodyflight works. It would be really cool but a bit scary to bodyfly.

I wrote a limerick, before you read it I would like you to know that they’re not supposed to make sense.

An Ode to Popcorn

By Vella Karman

Popcorn, oh popcorn in a hat

Popcorn, oh popcorn what do you think of that

Delicious and yummy

Popcorn in my tummy

It is even delicious to a cat

Now all I have to do is convince mom to let me have popcorn. The orthodontist is fine with it, but mom isn’t. :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

Journal 11/3/16

Stuff happened today. I didn’t get much school done because we stayed up and watched the game last night. I was up until 12:12, go Cubs!!

Maybe new library in Pine Bluff

Pine Bluff may get a new library, it will be on the ballot for the 8th. The old one flooded and is in a bad location. The population is dropping and this might help. It will probably be on main street if it passes. We will see if it passes very soon.

Homeschool Journal 11/4/16

Of the elephants that I mentioned yesterday of 40 only 2 survived. Nothing was really new in history it was what we learned yesterday but in another book. We read three poems about little fictional people like goblins, dwarfs and leprechauns. 120 mph is how fast someone falls. We learned about robots in Cool Stuff 2.0
