We baby sat today, and it was soooooooooooooo long. At least when your trying to do school and the kid is crying and won’t stop unless he is eating, so he can’t deal with anything not being perfect unless he is eating all the time. I still haven’t finished last weeks school so it’s a good thing we’re having a quarter break next week, although it might destroy the point if I’m doing school the whole week. But at least then I won’t be behind. Mom and Dad say that we’re so smart we freak out and think it’s too hard if we have to put any effort into school. He said he should really bump us both up a grade so that we will stop getting A’s and B’s all the time, and so that we know how to do hard work, but I already struggle with some things, and I thought it was good to get A’s and B’s, so I don’t know what to think. Why can’t life be easy to understand?

Today we went on a field trip to Bobrook Farms, they have a berry patch, a hay ride, a sunflower maze, animals, a corn bin, a hay maze for little kids, and a pumpkin patch. It is really fun, we went with a bunch of homeschool familys that we know. Mom was also babysitting so I didn’t get much school done, but it was a ton of fun so it was worth having to do more the next day. I really like these types of things but Reed was ready to go before we went in, and Mom and Adi were ready in a little bit.

In Science we learned about the evolution of birds and the Archeopteryx. The three “best” proofs of evolution is ape to man, land mammal to whale and dinosaur to bird. We learned about what people think of the last one today. We read five poems about Christmas. One was from the Bible and another was by Martin Luther and was made into the song Away in a Manger. In History we learned about the art, architecture, science and technology of the ancient world.
